We partner with our community to bring equine-assisted therapy to children, adults, and veterans with physical or occupational needs — always at no cost to riders and their families.
Every program runs in ten-week spring and fall sessions, with indoor and outdoor arenas and trail riding on our beautiful property.
Our founding program. Riders build core strength, balance, coordination, and confidence through weekly one-hour rides with a horse leader and two sidewalkers at their side.
Children & adults · Wednesdays & ThursdaysTime in the saddle and time with the herd, for those who served. Horsemanship, groundwork, and riding in the company of fellow veterans.
Open to all veteransOur riders train and compete in Special Olympics equestrian events — working toward show day with their favorite horse and their whole barn family cheering.
Training & competitionParents and guardians apply on behalf of their child; adult riders and veterans apply for themselves. Spots are limited by horse and volunteer capacity, so most riders begin on our wait list.
A short application — your rider, their goals, and your preferred ride day. It goes straight to our intake team and wait list.
We call you, answer questions, and send the physician’s release and liability waiver to sign electronically.
When a weekly spot opens, your rider is matched to the right horse for their size, needs, and personality — plus a trained crew of three.
One hour a week, ten weeks a season. Progress you can see — in the arena, on the trail, and at home.
Every ride takes a crew of three walking alongside one rider and one horse. Our 150+ volunteers are the heart of this place — and most of them started with zero barn time.
Once you’re trained, you’ll pick up weekly ride shifts right from your phone — and see your name on the ride board when you walk into the barn.
This website isn’t just a fresh coat of paint — it connects directly to the scheduling system that runs our ride days.
Rider and volunteer applications land in the intake queue and wait list the moment they’re submitted — no re-typing, nothing lost.
Volunteers sign up for open shifts online; staff see gaps weeks ahead instead of the morning of.
Arena and locker-room screens replace the whiteboard — every rider, horse, and crew assignment, live.
Feed, farrier, vet care, tack, and arena upkeep for sixteen horses — our benefactors and donors carry it all, so families never see a bill. Join them.
